Summary of December trends

In December demand followed a seasonal pattern, slightly improving against last years’ development, but no change in trend, yet. Capacity had expected seasonal squeeze no change to the overall tense situation.

Both contracted and spot rates experienced typical seasonal increases this month. Spot prices maintained their significant premium over contracted rates but haven’t reached new heights as feared by exceeding 2022 summer levels.

Trend of consistent diesel price decreases stopped. December continued slight increasing tendency of November.
